‘This was my first adventure with Globetrotting and definitely not my last! The hotel was amazing, the hotel staff and our guides were fun and friendly, and the food, a 5-course gourmet French cuisine, was exceptional. The horses were lovely. I rode a 6-year-old Camargue/draft cross named Badon, who was a beautiful dappled grey and so responsive. Galloping him through the marshes and on the beach was so much fun!’

‘Riding in the Camargue has been a lifelong goal. As a child, the images of the white horses galloping through the surf were part of my dreams. When I found this ride with Globetrotting, I knew I had to make it happen. The closer I got to the Camargue, the more dreamlike my adventures became. Driving down the tree-lined entrance to Le Mas Peint was akin to entering a haven! I met one of my fellow riders and then set about exploring the property. The first ride that afternoon told me my expectations were about to be exceeded. Rounding up the black bulls, galloping through the wetlands on a horse that responded to my every cue was… I lose adjectives here! The other riders were delightful; our hosts, Frederic and Clemence, Bon, and staff were all lovely and laid-back. Sleep came easily to me there. The days were filled with incredible scenery, a fabulous picnic on the beach, beautiful birds, cultural experiences, and so much more. What more can I say? This is a ride that MUST be experienced to be believed, as, considering the geography, the breed of horses, and the culture, there cannot be another like it anywhere. I would do this ride again in a heartbeat!’

‘My husband and I enjoyed every minute of our Camargue Ride. The accommodations, scenery, and native horses are, quite literally, a dream! The Bon family, guides, and hotel staff were so lovely and hospitable. During the day, you’re galloping through marshland and beaches on a stunning horse, seeing the most beautiful views, and then you come home to a delicious four-course meal of locally sourced food. The farmhouse quickly feels like a home away from home. We didn’t want the trip to end. As much as I want to try out new Globe Trotting rides, I would redo this trip in a heartbeat!’

‘The Camargue ride has forever changed me. Every aspect of it was absolutely breathtaking. Every day, my friends and I would look at each other and say, “How can it get better than today?” and somehow it did. I cannot even begin to express how amazing Mas de Peint was—so fantastically incredible! Every meal was the best meal I’ve ever had; the food and service were five stars—just incredible. My horse, Vaneau, was the absolute perfect horse for me. I couldn’t have been happier; he knew his job and was wild and free—everything I could’ve hoped for! The owner, Frederic, and the Guardians were so knowledgeable, accommodating, and incredible. Out of all the rides I’ve done, this is by far my favourite for the food, service, and ride (and I loved the other rides). Every day, all of us would marvel at how fortunate we were to experience such passion for culture and land. I honestly believe this ride is perfect in every way.’

‘The Camargue Ride was AMAZING!! The hotel on site was much nicer than the pictures (I was expecting the opposite) – our room was split-level, cozy yet modern, and immaculate! The food was amazing and great care was taken to address my dietary restrictions. Most importantly, the white horses of the Camargue were AWESOME – surefooted no matter the weather, fearless and willing. We galloped through fields and on beaches and even helped herd some young bulls. Thank you so much, Kate and Laura! My sister and I cannot wait to do another Globetrotting trip.’

‘The Camargue Ride surpassed every one of my expectations. For me, it was the unique, wild quality of the environment, the amazing Camargue horses and the superb accommodation that made this ride an absolute standout. My measure is always, ‘Would I go back?’ and my answer to this one is, ‘In a heartbeat’.’

‘The Camargue Ride was one of the best Globetrotting rides I have ever been on!!! Whilst it may have partly been our lovely hosts, the delicious food, the stunning location and the luxurious 5 star accommodation, the Camargue horses are legendary for a reason. Phenomenal agility, speed and cattle sense combined with brave and intelligent personalities make these horses the true stars of the ride. Be it racing along the beach or chasing after the famous black bulls, the armchair-like Camargue saddles and trusty Camargue horses will give you an experience you will never forget. My little pocket rocket, Trés, and the Camargue will hold a special place in my heart forever.’

‘The Camargue ride was a wonderful sisters’ holiday for us! It was our first horseback holiday, and we can’t wait for our next. The horses were wonderful – surefooted, willing and responsive, and experiencing the Camargue horse culture was a treasure. The riding was varied and exciting, from beach rides to helping to work the cattle. The beach ride on the second day was especially beautiful with flamingo, heron, breaking waves, beach gallops and that lovely picnic in the pine woods. And oh… the food! It was so fun to experience it with the Camargue crew. We are hooked!

‘I loved this ride! We had a ball on sturdy, strong and responsive grey Camargue horses who galloped over all terrain – along wild and remote beaches, over muddy saltbushes, with rain in our faces and feeling oh so alive! The bulls were small and black but also fast, so watching the Gardians at work with them was great. The accommodation, food, service, and fellow riders just made this a fabulous cultural and historical experience. One of those rides I will remember forever.’
