‘Why Globetrotting you ask? First…a little about me. I am single, older (ok…old), retired, have travelled for work but never before solo. I’m a decent rider but certainly not accomplished. I ride a couple of times a week on my Appy gelding who is the President of the Low Output Society. I am hopelessly directionally challenged. I have now ridden with Globetrotters on 5 rides (Canada, Botswana 2x, New Zealand and Alaska) with two more booked. My GT journey began when I innocently expressed interest in GT riding on a FB ad, and before I could question my judgment, wonderful Kate Pilcher, GT’s founder, was calling me…from Australia….to learn a bit more about what I was looking for so she could recommend a good fit. It was a personal call – not a sales pitch. The level of care I felt is core to all that is Globetrotting. You feel it when you are wondering if you can ride well enough, are fit enough, will enjoy the food and accommodations, are navigating travel, what to wear, how to pay…all the obstacles to the experience that is a Globetrotting ride. Globetrotting for me is so much more than an equestrian vacation….it has been life changing. I haven’t been lucky – the Globetrotting experience is carefully curated with love and extraordinary attention to detail. Thanks to Globetrotting, I have found the courage to travel to corners of the world I never expected to see and appreciate, met life long friends I treasure with all my heart, and ridden magnificent horses I will never forget. I am forever grateful to be a member of the beautiful Globetrotting family.’
