What do riding guests most love about this horse?
She is a splendid steel grey colour. Agile, lively, talented and very well educated.
What do you as guides most love about this horse? Her responsiveness, strength and reliability. She has a great friendly nature.
Mention some of the horse’s idiosyncrasies.
Alice is very smart! Her mother (Scarlett) and her sisters (Gibbs and Kennedy) all love fiddling with gates and have been known to take the entire mob wandering on occasion!
She also comes up through the mob to say hello, certainly never shy!
Anything else we should know about the horse’s story?
Alice is our first stud foal! When she was about two years old she had a severe accident and nearly died. The local vet managed to treat her for blood loss and shock, and stitched most of her wounds. She still bears the scars today. We thought this would be the end of her riding career, but she has bounced back stronger than ever, and not the least bit nervous. A very resilient mare indeed!
If you are keen to try your hand at some polocrosse on Alice, you can find her on The Margaret River Ride. You can also read more about her owners, Paul and Fiona, here.
