Horse riding holidays in Italy

‘Living la dolce vita under the Tuscan sun, surrounded by fabulous food, wine, and, did I mention, horses? The videos hardly do justice to the riding on the Tuscan Trail. We climbed straight up a hill to the medieval town of Vetulonia, enjoyed long, extended canters through olive groves and forests, and tackled a thrillingly steep downhill ride to the crystal-clear blue waters of the coast. Cantering along a deserted shoreline, splashing in the autumn sun and sparkling sea, honestly, life does not get much better than this!’

We never lacked for conversation and laughed all week. Our guides, Ariana and Githe, were also amazing. They are outstanding horsewomen and clearly have a love for what they’re doing. Our accommodations were gorgeous. Every meal was delicious. The rides took us through beautiful countryside and along the sea. If you like these things, this is as close to a perfect vacation as you can get.’

‘I expected beautiful scenery, great horses, and amazing food in Tuscany, but what I didn’t expect was how special our hosts, Gio and Patrick, and their entire Globetrotting team would make us feel. Every detail reflected the care they put into creating a peaceful, welcoming environment—mini’s grazing on the lawn, friendly dogs always there to snuggle with, and the comfy, stylish Club House where we gathered before and after rides, and for many of our meals. Our guides were the perfect mix of sweet and sassy—knowledgeable, confident, and completely in tune with both the horses and the terrain. My horse, Priscilla, was a dream all week and has turned this warmblood owner into a devoted Haflinger fan. The rides, the horses, the food, the people, and the endless attention to detail all came together for an unforgettable Tuscan adventure shared with my closest friends—an experience we’ll cherish forever.’

‘The Tuscany Ride was amazing, and our host, Gio, could not have done a better job. Every detail was taken care of. The food was amazing, as was the presentation, and our accommodations were outstanding. The horses were saddled for us each day, and all were very well behaved and trained. Every meal at the ranch was thoughtfully planned out. Our restaurant excursions and private luncheons on the ride were amazing. I rode Njoror, a 5-year-old gelding. He was super safe, strong, willing, and kind. When I return, I will ask for him again. The guides were extremely knowledgeable about the area, history, and riding abilities. Both were very friendly and fun! My favourite day was when we rode for about two hours up to an old Roman village and walked through the cobblestone streets while the large bell tolled at noon. This was the best Globetrotting experience yet!’
