Don’t Leave Home Without… a Travel Thermos
Let me ask you two questions globetrotters: Are you booked on our Glenorchy Back Country Ride in New Zealand or Big Horn Cattle Drive in America? Or are you coming to Iceland with us this year? And do you LOVE a hot cuppa as you’re munching away on your delicious saddlebag packed lunch after a long morning in the saddle? Well, we recommend taking a travel thermos with you, small enough to fit into your saddlebag of course but large enough to make sure you’re cravings are met at lunchtime.
We LOVE the travel thermos (pictured above) from Kathmandu. This everyday bullet flask is not only stylish but can hold 500ml of fluid for you to drink AND it can fit in your saddlebag! Nifty!
I think that one of the best features of this thermos is that it is vacuum insulated. So if you have piping hot liquid in you saddlebag thermos, it won’t heat up the material around it or the saddle cloth, so your horse won’t become annoyed by a hot spot on the blanket. Even better, if you don’t feel like something hot to drink and just want to keep your water cool then this flask does that as well! #winning
When you are riding through the countryside with a thermos, you would think you would have to bring a mug or something to drink out of right? WRONG! This flask’s lid transforms into a handy little cup so you don’t have to clutter up your bag with stuff you don’t need!
So what’s not to love? Enjoy a hot cup of tea or coffee (or even hot chocolate if you’re really lucky!) or a cool drink while on a ride with this handy flask!
You can go find yours at Kathmandu!
