‘I’ve been riding for over 30 years, and my Globetrotting trip was unlike anything I’ve ever experienced. For horse-lovers, the opportunity to explore some of the world’s most beautiful places is like a dream come true. It’s also a unique opportunity to spend a few days with other horse-lovers, so you can talk about horses as much as you want! (If you know, you know.) The wranglers and hosts are just fantastic. I can’t recommend this enough, and I very much hope to get to do it again!’

‘The Whistler Wilderness Ride was my first Globetrotting experience, and it was fantastic! I enjoyed four days of trail riding in beautiful British Columbia. The wranglers and host were knowledgeable and friendly, making the experience even better. If you’re looking for stunning views and enjoyable trails, this trip is perfect for you. The horses, raised in the mountains, are comfortable with the terrain and very surefooted. The tents provided were quite comfortable. Although I’m not a big camper, I found it easy to adjust, especially since sleeping bags and other essentials were provided. Overall, this was a wonderful introduction to horseback riding holidays.’

‘I just got back from the Rocky Mountains Ride in Canada, and WOW! I love that Globetrotting personally go and road tests all the rides. The information we received from Globetrotting before the ride was extremely useful and invaluable for packing the right gear. Our hosts were wonderful, and their horses were tremendous. I was lucky enough to get Gabby, who was just terrific; I can see why Neil said he would love to clone her! She was so sure-footed over all the different terrain, and I felt completely safe on her. A wonderful adventure which we will never forget!’

‘I took my daughter on this ride for her 21st birthday, and we both expected it to be great; however, it was literally a life-changing and mindset-shifting time. Our guide, Robert, was so knowledgeable and passionate; the horses were amazing. We expected a few good views and lots of pine trees, but what we got were awe-inspiring, technically challenging rides with constant scenery that was out of this world. Spending time simply, with no outside interaction from people or technology in the presence of such a powerful natural environment was humbling. Every day got better, and we never wanted it to end.’

‘I love love loooved this trip! Amazing views, people and horses I definitely would go again. All the trails were breathtakingly beautiful and lots of fun. If you’re up for ‘off the grid’ -time this place is definitely for you. I enjoyed my time canoeing, swimming and in the jacuzzi after the rides – what a perfect way to relax. All of the staff were amazing and I was lucky to get so many great people to share the solo trip with me. Hands down this trip is the best I’ve been! Br. ‘If you’re looking to disconnect and slow down while immersing yourself in some of the most untouched, beautiful landscapes I’ve ever seen, this ride is perfect for you. The horses are sweet and sure-footed, and have lovely soft mouths, yet they are ready for exhilarating canters when asked. Climbing up the mountain is breathtaking and truly unique. I visited during grizzly season, and it did not disappoint! The roller coaster, the airstrip, and the ridge canter were all so much fun! We spotted numerous grizzly bears, and the views were stunning. Watching the horses swim across the river at the end of a long day was such a treat!’

‘It was such a privilege to spend a week in this beautiful, remote area of crystal clear water with salmon leaping in the lake and river, snow topped mountains and forests turning to gold in the Fall season. The riding was amazing with lovely riding companions and each day offering new experiences that were so much fun. The lovely Arizona looked after me so well as did the two gorgeous dogs, Laurel and Hardy who came along on every ride, by the river, up the mountain and along the forest tracks. It was such a thrill to see so many bears, fishing, with their cubs, strolling along the water’s edge, in the Lodge garden and even on one occasion in the tack yard; a good reminder that we were really in their territory which they were allowing us to share.
Our day on the drift boat which took us 20 miles down the river was also so special with sightings of eagles, kingfishers and lots of bears. We were looked after by incredible guides who were able to tell us so much about this very special place. They were part of an amazing team of people who welcomed us as friends and provided everything we could need. The four riders on our trip stayed in a cosy, well-equipped four-bedroomed cabin with two bathrooms and a spectacular view of the lake and mountains. We had delicious breakfasts and dinners in the Lodge with a packed lunch to take on our daily adventures. I thought at the end of each day that it was going to be the best day but then the next day proved to be just as special. So it was a truely wonderful week of so many amazing experiences and I am so grateful to have had the opportunity to be there.’

The Chilko Lake experience has all this and more. Idyllic lodge with ridiculous views, wildlife on your doorstep, amazing bear viewing, crazy good hearty meals and a great crew ready to guide you through it all with patience and care. I had the week of my life and I hope to get back there someday.’

‘The crew was truly extraordinary! I couldn’t have asked for better companions to share my eight-day journey with. I had the pleasure of riding Ranger, a match made in heaven! He embodied everything I had hoped for in a trail partner. The cuisine was absolutely delectable, and the scenery nothing short of breathtaking. One highlight that left me awestruck was when we were traversing what appeared to be a modest hill, only to be informed that our elevation matched that of Mount Kosciuszko in Australia! This blew my mind as there were mountains above us that were covered by clouds, and to feel absolutely dwarfed in nature was unreal! Canada, thank you for welcoming us into your magnificent embrace and leaving us with cherished memories that will forever be etched in our hearts.’

‘A truly lovely riding holiday with the right balance of outdoorsy adventure and comfortable camping. Our hoses and hosts were all oozing with Canadian charm and the mountain scenery was breathtaking. There was a lovely small group of ladies on our trip, and we all agreed we could happily do the ride every year forevermore. I rode the gentle, sure-footed and smoochy Captain carried me safely through the mountains and rivers. He is a solid, mountain-bred gelding who loved his job and was as nimble as a mountain goat. They were, without a doubt, the best trail horses I have ever ridden. As an infrequent rider with lots of riding experience but low saddle fitness, the 4-day itinerary was the perfect length. I would happily book again, but there are so many more GT rides to try!’

‘British Columbia took my breath away. Everywhere I looked there was another breathtaking view. Add to that fabulous horses and riding, friendly, relaxed guides and scrumptious food in the most stunning setting, and you have a riding experience to die for. The only problem I have with it is that it went way too fast. Take me back!’

‘Thanks Globetrotting for yet another fun exploratory experience – I loved the horses, catching up with the GT group, hearty food, Fireball whisky and enjoying the wonderful fresh air and scenery! The local guides were always really helpful and good company. My horse Bingo was surefooted, strong and safe. The highlight was riding to Lake Ogre – I loved the canters at the start, then riding up high over the peat bogs and close to the icy snow, and having lunch by the lake.
